A good friend of mine moved up to the city about four months ago, and I still remember how excited he was during his first week. Everything was brand new to him, and I must admit I took some joy out of showing him where everything was and seeing the pure excitement he displayed. Justin found a job at a marketing firm, and he is really good at what he does so he carries himself with a lot of confidence. We both hit the gym pretty often and eat right, and are at least above-averagely successful with women.

Justin has a good way with women, but there was one thing that held him back; he had acne scars. They really weren’t as bad as he made them out to be, but Justin is like me and we pride ourselves doing on the best we can at everything we do. Justin had been on more dates than me, but he rarely got past the second one because he said he kept catching the girl staring at his acne scars. I always told him he was crazy, but seeing how he’s confident in every single other aspect of his life I thought it could’ve been true.

I couldn’t stand to see him so preoccupied with his condition, so I went online at work and looked up some sites about cosmetic surgery, and I came across a website about laser skin treatment. I had heard of it before, but never really did any research. Apparently it’s the obvious alternative to the standard surgery, because instead of scalpels and knives they use a concentrated laser beam, lessening the risk of scarring.

The only reason I knew that was because they have a directory with some articles on the different procedures they can do, and after I showed Justin the information he filled out the form on the home page and set up an appointment with a local specialist.

After only three treatments I could hardly see his acne scars, but I could clearly see the improvement in his self-confidence. I’m glad to have this “new” Justin around, because he’s much more upbeat and it’s always fun to have your wingman back!
